The
Auburn Education Foundation -
Making Dreams Come True
| GrantsAEF awards two types of grants. The first type, called AEF grants, are for up to $1000 and are available in two grant cycles, one with applications due October 15th and one with applications due April 15th. Grants are intended to encourage unique and creative instruction, programs, and projects that will directly benefit a maximum number of students and indirectly bring to the attention of our community the positive things that are happening in schools. These grants are open to all certificated and classified staff. A second type of grant, the school-wide sustaining supplemental grant was added in 2004/2005 for projects done on a school-wide basis at each school. The grant applications are due April 15th of each year and the amount each year depends on available funds. For 2008/2009 year, the Foundation has allocated $7500 per school for the sustaining grants. For 2009/2010, the amount was $3500 per school. On May 4, 2009, the Foundation changed the rules for the project report making it due at the same time as the invoices. For example, for a fall grant awarded in October, the project report is now due on or before April of the next year. April grant reports are now due in October of the same year. Guidelines, Applications, Reports and examples can be found at the applications page. Grant HistoryPicturesPictures of projects funded by AEF:
